1295 Marine Instrument Screen
The 1295 Marine Stevenson Screen is a high-quality instrument screen designed for use outdoors and offshore. It features a compartment for simultaneous readings of temperature, wet bulb and humidity. Handmade in East Anglia, this screen is carefully finished with solid brass fixtures and fittings throughout. It features a heavy-duty brass securing door hook, a solid brass hinged door, and a matching brass fixing kit.
The screen is constructed with full louvred side and base panels, combined with a double-vented roof, to promote consistent airflow while shielding instruments from direct sunlight, precipitation and spray. This design ensures that readings reflect true ambient conditions, rather than localised heat build-up or moisture interference.
The solid brass hinged door provides secure access for maintenance and observation, complemented by a heavy-duty securing door hook for added resilience offshore. Internally, a Lorraine cross mounting system allows thermometers to be positioned correctly for simultaneous readings, maintaining measurement integrity and repeatability.
