Sunshine Recorder Cards

Sunshine recorder cards suitable for use in either the Northern or Southern Hemisphere with a Campbell Stokes Sunshine Recorder. Buy either an induvial set of 100 cards for your preferred date range; or why not take advantage of our specially discounted complete set which includes 300 cards.

The Russell sunshine recording cards are made from a special board with traditional dark green finish on which even weak sunlight produces a clearly visible trace. They are specially treated to char rather than burn so that the trace produced by strong sunlight does not spread significantly.

There are three types of sunshine recorder cards all marked with hourly intervals. Each type corresponds to the behaviour of the sun at different seasons: long curved for use in the summer, straight for use near the equinoxes and short curved for use in the winter.

For use between: 12^th April & 2^nd September in Northern Hemisphere

Southern Hemisphere: 15^th October & 28^th or 29^th February.

METFORM-6731A Winter Card

For use between: 15^th October & 28^th or 29^th February in Northern Hemisphere

Southern Hemisphere: 12^th April & 2^nd September.

Use: 1^st March & 11^th April, 3^rd September & 14^th October
