The hook gauge evaporimeter set is used to measure evaporation rate from a free water surface and is used by meteorologists and water engineers. For the agronomist evaporation measurement is particularly important where irrigation demand is being calculated.
A useful accessory is a maximum/minimum thermometer (catalogue number 1270) which floats just under the water surface in the main tank.
